Wednesday of Holy Week 2020

Where has our Lenten Journey taken us?  We started our journey on Ash Wednesday with the placing of ashes on our foreheads and fasting.  We have prayed, fasted, and shared meals with those in need. Fasting can make the presence of Jesus Christ grow and flourish in our Parish Communities, in our neighborhoods, and in our families.

The days have passed and we find ourselves in Holy Week. Today is Wednesday of Holy Week or Spy Wednesday. This is the day that is traditionally thought of as the day Judas conspired with local authorities to betray Jesus.  “When it was evening, he reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, “Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”
