Exploring the Land of Martin and Rose:
A Pilgrimage in honor of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the
Province of St. Martin de Porres
Join Fr. Tom Condon, O.P., Prior Provincial, Fr. Juan Torres, O.P. and a group of Dominican friars, on a six-night adventure in Peru exploring the land of our patron, St. Martin de Porres, O.P. (1579-1639) and his Dominican sister, St. Rose of Lima, O.P., (1586-1617), the first saint of the Americas.
The Dominican Order has a long and interesting history in Peru that is especially meaningful to the Province of St. Martin de Porres. On our pilgrimage, you will learn more about St. Martin de Porres and St. Rose of Lima, whose lives still have much to teach us about how to live the Gospel. Our group will have private tours of beautiful Dominican sites, and we will gain an understanding of how the Dominicans helped to shape the history of the New World. We will have prayer and Mass in holy locations that have great meaning in the history of the Order, and each day we will gather to reflect on what we have seen and learned.
Limited to a group of twenty friends, our tour is being organized by Incas Expert Travel Company, internationally known for their high standards and experience and expertise in custom, high-end travel in Peru. Inca Expert will provide safe and comfortable ground transportation and their expert staff and guides will accompany our group at all times. The trip schedule allows for leisure time, and there is an optional tour for those who wish to visit the extraordinary Machu Picchu ruins.
This is a trip of a lifetime – comfortable surroundings in a beautiful country, deep immersion into Dominican history and culture, and a time set aside for time for spiritual reflection and renewal.
