Are You the One?
Here’s a trick question -- Did Jesus answer John’s question?
The Answer - No and Yes.
No, Jesus did not say He was “the One to come”. No, He did not tell them to “look for another”.
But YES, being Jesus, He gave John and his two disciples MORE than they asked for. Jesus described what He had been doing, things they could see and hear so as not to have the wrong impression. Jesus is not an earthly, temporal Messiah, but the God of Israel, “who makes well-being and creates woe. I, the Lord, can do all things.”

And every time we turn to Jesus for our needs, He gives us MORE than we can ask for or imagine. So, this Advent ask Jesus for what you need most in your life, for example, a job, patience, calmness, a raise, or a spouse, etc. It may not come on Christmas Day, but Jesus always delivers!
