After the euphoria of the trial and crucifixion of Jesus, it becomes apparent in Acts 2:36-41 that the reaction and perhaps most importantly, the realization of what had just happened finally sunk in the Jewish people. How often do we find ourselves caught up in the moment and let our emotions rule us?
Today’s advancements in technology can persuade us to make judgments on things that we see or read online without taking the time to think them through. God calls us to refrain from judging others and asks us to exercise prudence and patience; otherwise, the consequences could be regrettable. How different our world would be if, when tempted by a rush to judgment, we take the time to pray and reflect before deciding to respond. God is patient, God is Kind. No simpler words could convey such an important point.
