March 31, 2020The Israelites, who have fled Egypt, are growing tired of the long journey in the hot and difficult desert. They question why God is testing them like this? What is the purpose of all the challenges they are facing? Wouldn’t it be better if they just stayed in Egypt? Don’t we complain too when we get tired and don’t see what the future holds? Sometimes we can get overwhelmed and take our eyes off Jesus. The mistake we make is relying upon ourselves and not trusting in our God who loves us. God will provide everything we need.
Lent is a time of examination of our life path. Are we moving ahead without thinking or are we earnestly looking for the way that will be blessed by God? Sometimes the path will mean that we lose something or someone close to us. Sometimes we may have to put others first. God should be in every decision. Let God shed light on our path this Lent so we can reach our Easter of Joy!
