In today’s reading (Acts 3:1-10), Peter and John pray for a man crippled from birth. Peter said, “… in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk.”
Throughout my day I often encounter people needing help with a mental issue. It is a blessing we’re beginning to be comfortable discussing mental health, the effects of loneliness and isolation.
I’m reminded all the time that everyone could use a kind word. The way someone is spoken to makes all the difference to the person suffering. I’m in awe of people who know just what to say or do to help others in distress. Even if you can’t think of something to say or do, pray for them in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean. No one should be made to feel alone.
